Everybody has a place. A chair, a room, a corner spot at a cafe. Where the creative blocks of daily life open up like Route 66 through New Mexico. Where small problems vanish and large ones become approachable.

The front porch at my Ocean Beach, San Diego home is one of those places; is my place. Whether joined by roommates, friends, Scott the neighborhood cat or the Santa Ana winds, the porch tends to bubble up introspection, ideas and solutions to issues small and large. These issues are what we’d call #porchmaterial.

This site is my filing cabinet for those ideas. Being a marketing geek, they revolve at least tangentially around marketing, but also bend into the worlds of music and conscious evolution.
